Apple has recently announced the launch of its two premier gadgets on its India website. The much awaited iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be launched in India on October 17th.
These two devices were seen as the changed flagship of the brand. Unlike previous introductions in Indian markets this time Apple has chosen to introduce new iPhones in mid of festive seasons. For those who were waiting to get their hands on latest smart phones this Diwali, Apple has come up with a surprise. We bring you all the details of both these gadgets here.
Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Features
To start with both the gadgets will have more durability owing to their unibody all aluminium chassis which provides them more strength and protection against rugged handling. Also the Apple logo in these devices will be backed with stainless steel.
iPhone 6 comes with an increased screen size of 4.7 inches and 138.1 x 67 x 6.9mm dimension weighing around 129 g. On the other side iPhone 6 Plus will have an additional screen space at 5.5” display with a dimensions of 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1mm weighing 172g.
Surprisingly Apple seems to be ditching the sapphire glass in these devices and will introduce ion strengthened glass screens. Both the devices will have HD retina display with iPhone 6 having a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixel and 1080p depth while iPhone 6 Plus will have 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Keeping up with its philosophy of not to enter the megapixels race Apple has restored to 8 MP with both the devices. Improvements are however made in the sensors of these devices with f/2.2 aperture for more light trapping and image clarity. iPhone 6 will have digital image stability while iPhone 6 Plus will have better Optical Image Stabilization. On the front both devices have a 1.2 MP front camera.
Major improvements are made in iPhone 6 Plus in battery life. It comes with 24 hours of 3G talk time which is limited to 14 hours in iPhone 6. The former also provides 16 days of standby battery life.
There is no information available whether Apple will introduce any storage changes or not. However 128 GB storage is on the cards which we can find in any of the devices.
Both the new gadgets will run on the latest A8 64 bit chipset which is 13% compact as compared to A7. According to Apple the new chip gives 20% more CPU performance as well as 50 % better graphics rendering.
As far as price is concerned there is no announcement what the prices will be in India. However, it is expected to be around $199 and $299 for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus respectively.
It definitely will be buying for Apple fans for sure.
