Aarakshan film is the high voltage drama that is based on one among the most controversial policies like caste reservations in the educational institutions and government jobs. The movie is about Prabhakar Anand, the idealist principal who has turned his college into the best college, Deepak’s (Saif Ali Khan) love for Poorbi i.e. Deepika Padukone and of friendship with Prateik Babbar as Sushant.

Centered around one of the controversial issues of present times, with Supreme Court’s order on the theme of reservation, the movie takes the characters on a rollercoaster ride with high drama, rebellion and conflict that test friendship and love for each other and also about their loyalty to the idealist principal. Saif Ali Khan plays the role of the Dalit.

Amitabh Bachchan, the principal of top college in Bhopal is actually forced to now resign from his position after he makes the controversial statement about the reservation policy in India. After alienating himself from students and well wishers that includes Saif Ali Khan, Dalit protégée, he then tried hard to rebuild the life again. More crucially, he tries hard to save Indian education system from the unscrupulous sharks such as Manoj Bajpayee who wishes to commercialize it and even convert into largest money making firm of India, thanks courtesy capitation fee and private coaching centers.
