Asus Zenfone 5Z is a Flipkart exclusive product that will be offered in three variants. Starting with a 64GB storage variant that will be listed for Rs 29,999 followed by the 128GB and 256GB variants priced at Rs 32,999 and Rs 36,999 respectively.

On the other hand Honor 10 is on the offer in the single 128GB variant for Rs 32,999. OnePlus 6 is a close contender in this category availing three variants for fans in 64GB, 128 GB and 256GB Marvel Avengers special edition for Rs 34,999, Rs 39,999 and Rs 44, respectively. OnePlus 6 is an Amazon exclusive phone.

All the three brands have offered premium look with their devices as all three smartphones have a metal frame body sandwiched between front and back glass finish. However, none of the phones is yet offering wireless charging which is a disappointment for devices in this price range.

Display is one of the features to look forward to as OnePlus, Asus and Honor have given their best in this category. While all the three phones have a full-screen display with a resolution of 2246×1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ panel, the display size differs in all. The Zenfone 5Z flaunts a 6.2” screen while OnePlus 6 has a 6.28” display. Honor 10 lags behind with a 5.84” display.

Chipset and Storage

The Zenfone 5Z and OnePlus 6 are in a close competition here as both are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC. For RAM, both devices offer 6GB RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage, while for 128GB and 256 GB variants both the phones have an 8GB RAM option available.

Honor 10 is out of the league here with it’s Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core SoC backed with a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU). Furthermore, there is only 6GB RAM available with 128GB inbuilt storage.

Asus Zenfone 5Z offers expandable storage via hybrid microSD, no such option is available in OnePlus 6 and Honor 10.

OS and Security

Asus Zenfone 5Z has Android 8.0 Oreo version, while the other two devices run on Android 8.1 Oreo versions.

Fingerprint sensor and face recognition are available on all three devices for security.

The main selling points of all these devices are their camera capabilities. The Zenfone 5Z and Honor 10 have notched up the game with their AI scene detection tech, OnePlus 6 is still to introduce such a program.

The Zenfone 5Z offers dual rear cameras with 12 MP primary sensor and f/1.8 aperture lens and an 8MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 wide-angle lens allowing you to capture images and videos with a 1200 field of view. On the front, you get an 8MP camera.

Honor 10 also features dual rear camera setup with a primary colour sensor of 16 MP with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary monochrome sensor with 24MP resolution. AI features like the scene recognition and beauty mode improve the quality of images taken. On the front Honor, 10 offers a 24MP camera for video calling and selfies. AI portrait mode is also available with the front camera.

OnePlus 6 offers you 16MP primary sensor along with a 20MP secondary sensor which is a depth sensor allowing you to add DKSR-like bokeh effects to your images. It also has the 2X lossless optical zoom for better picture capturing. On the front, you get the 16MP camera for video calling and selfies.

Battery and Connectivity

Here Honor 10 prevails the competition with its 3,400mAh battery while Asus Zenfone 5Z and OnePlus 6 both have a 3,300mAh battery power. All the three devices support fast charging.

You get dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE connectivity in all three devices alongside Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS.
