Babri Masjid verdict on 24th; UP and India on high alert

The much anticipated verdict of the Allahabad High Court regarding the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid row has been scheduled as on 24th of September.

The legal battle which has been ongoing for the past six decades has had a high percentage majority of 80% parties in favor of the disputed being regarded as the birth place of Lord Rama compared to the 20% desiring the Babri Mosque.

The bloody post-partition communal violence which took place in December 1992 over the destruction of Babri Mosque by violent Hindu extremists asserting that the mosque once used to be an ancient Hindu temple site left over 2000 people dead.

In the meantime both Hindi and Muslim leaders have appealed to people for peace over the judgment scheduled to be out in less than a week from now.
