Har-Ki-Pauri

Har-Ki-Pauri: Haridwar is synonymous with the crystal clear Ganges. This ghat is the most sacred one in Haridwar. One cannot complete his visit to this holy city without a dip in this ghat. Har-Ki-Pauri is also known as Brahmakund, and was made by the ancient king Vikramaditya. Come here to watch the evening aarti of the Ganges.

The Chandi Temple: the temple is situated on the other bank of the river. According to the legend, the Goddess Chandi killed the demon Chanda- Munda at this place. This is a very famous temple and don’t miss the statue of the Goddess which is believed to be founded by Shankaracharya.

Bharat Mata Temple: This temple is dedicated to the motherland. This eight floored temple worshipped India and has images of cities, patriots and Indian heroes. Come here to see a temple which teaches patriotism as a religion.

Shanti Kunj: if you are interested in Yoga or naturopathy, do visit this ashram. People come to this place form all around the world.

Mansa Devi Temple: This temple is dedicated to Mansa, the Snake Goddess. There is two way to reach this ancient temple, either by trekking or by rope-way. According to the beliefs, the goddess fulfills the wish of a dedicated devotee.
