CWG latest Medal Tally : India Shining with 22 Medals & Second Spot

New Delhi : India the host country of the XIX Commonwealth Games is hailing high with its incredible performance in the initial stage of the games itself. India has won a total of 22 medals by the end of the third day i.e. 6th October, 2010 and has occupied the second position in the list of countries winning the maximum number of medals. Out of these 22 medals 10 are gold medals, 10 are silver medals and 2 are bronze medals. Ahead of India, Australia ranks first after winning a total of 46 medals that is far ahead of India.

Indian wrestlers Anil Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Ravinder Singh brought 3 gold medals for India, Indian shooters Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang snatched 2 gold medals for India, weightlifter Renu Bala Chanu won 1 gold medal in 58kg women category, shooter Omkar Singh also brought 1 gold medal, Anisa Sayyed brought 1 gold medal in shooting.

The overwhelming performance of Indian players is making the Indians proud of them and attracting the people towards the stadiums so they can watch the live performance of the players. The players of other games are also heading forward with high spirits for bringing loads of medals for their country.
