Honda Brio New Hatchback Car Pictures, Price and Review

A yet another Honda creation is about to hit to Indian markets. Honda Brio is ready for the official launch in the Indian markets. Honda Brio would be dealt with by the company’s two-wheelers throughout the country. The company’s CEO and President, Takashi Nagai said that though the car is targeted for the Thailand and Indian markets, but the operational features would be suitable for the local demand.

The mass production of Honda Brio would take place in Thailand from March 2011 after the official launch. The company has planned a strategy to sell the car through JV with the local partner Siel in India.

The new Honda hatchback is expected to be powered with features like three-cylinder 900 cc engine, de-tuned version of the 1.2-litre engine that’s on the Honda Jazz, 5-speed manual and an automatic (CVT type) transmission and rear door handles fixed to the frame.

Honda Brio was revealed at the 27th International Motor Expo 2010 in Thailand. The Honda hatchback is expected to compete in the Indian markets with Maruti Suzuki hatchbacks in the same range as well as the Toyota’s hatchback Etios, still to be launched.

The Honda Brio is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs. 5 lakh, the lowest in the Honda family.
