The surprise package might come to the audience when all the captains will be taken around the Bangabandhu Stadium on tri-cycles during the ostentatious opening ceremony of the ICC World Cup 2011. The tri-cycles also known as rickshaws have been a mode of transportation in countries like Bangladesh and India since a long time and this is the ‘Bangladeshi style’ to fuse tradition with modernity.

The two-hour opening ceremony will also showcase Bangladesh’s top lady singers- Runa Laila, Sabina Yasmin and Mumtaz. Apart from these specialties, an aerial cricket show is bound to knockout the audience who has dared long queues to buy tickets. Bangladesh, which is the first time co-host of the opening ceremony of the ICC world cup 2011, is taking every possible preventative measure to shun any anomaly.
