Ind vs Aus Day 4 Summary : India got Small but not Easy target

On the fourth day of the first test against India and Australia in Mohali, India binds the kangaroo team on 192.  The maximum run made from Australian team is SR Watson who hit 56 run off 59 deliveries out of which he outstandingly hit seven boundaries and a massive six. He was sent to pavilion by Ishant Sharma who snatched three wickets in the match. SM Katich made hunt on PP Ojha’s spell when he was on just 37. He was caught bold by skipper Dhoni. Skipper Ponting could not show his batting spell and lost his wicket with poor score of 4 off 4 balls. He was caught bold by SK Raina from the delivery of I Sharma. In another delivery spell, I Sharma hunted MJ Clarke when he was on just 4 run. He was caught bold by skipper Dhoni.

Apart from SR Watson, no player from Australian team could put relevant contribution to score the run rate of their team higher. With successive poor performance of players MEK Hussey on 28, MJ North 10, TD Paine 9, MG Johnson 3, NM Hauritz 9, BJ Hilfenhaus 6, DE Bollinger 5.

Hence, on the loss of 10 wickets, the Oz team came to an end of the total score 192.  With the first inns lead of 23 runs Australia gave easy looking target of 216 runs to win for India.

In reply Gambhir got out without troubling scorers on duck and Sehwag also could manage to score just 17 runs. last inns hero Suresh Raina could not manage to open his account as well. At the end of Day 4 India were struggling and they made 55 runs with the loss of 4 wickets. India need 160 more runs and 6 Indian wickets are in Hand.
