India Celebrating Mahatma Gandhi & Lal Bahadur Shastri jayanti Today

The relevance of Gandhi Jayanti would not have been more profound than it is today, when only two days back the nation was able to solve the six decade long dispute between Hindus and Muslims over Babri Masjid, with peace and amicability.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi or Mahatma Gandhi’s role was instrumental in achieving the freedom for the Indians from the British Rule. He was a true apostle of truth and non-violence and as a mark of respect, his birthday 2nd October is also celebrated as the World Peace Day.

2nd October is birthday of our second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri birthday as well. Both Mahatma gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri are know for their efforts for the peace of Indians.

Let us all remember him and his message to humanity and learn to leave in perfect harmony with each other.
