Naxals Killed 73 CRPF Soldiers in Deadly attack in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Chhattisgarh: In an intense encounter between Naxalites and security forces in the forest of the Dantewada, 73Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans have been killed. Around 8 of the injured jawans have been evacuated from the area for the treatment. The incident happened around 6 to 7 am in the Mukrana forest, when the CRPF patrol party was returning from the Naxals infested area. The director general of CRPF, Vikram Srivastava told “the CRPF men were on the operational duty when the Naxalities attacked.”

Naxalities on Sunday triggered landmine blast wherein, ten security personnel were killed in the Tanginiguda area. The van was carrying ten security personnel of elite anti-Naxalite Special Operation Group.

When we spoke to the Director General of Police, Bhupinder Singh, he told “High alert has been sounded in the Naxalities affected areas like Bankura, Purulia and West Midnapore. Also, police camps have been instructed to be on high alert.” Forces have been asked to keep vigil to combat the unforeseen dangers.
