Aga Khan Palace: This palace is a historical landmark. During the Quit India Movement in 1942, many great leaders including Mahatma Gandhi were imprisoned here.

Shinde Chhatri: This monument was a tribute to Mahadji Shinde, a Commander-in-chief of the Maratha Army. This has an architectural beauty and is a must visit.

National War Memorial: Also known as the Pune War memorial, it consists of the homage paid by citizens to the war heroes. On the walls we find names of around 1200 martyrs. Also enough space has been given foe new inscriptions too.

Bund Gardens: It was constructed by Sir Jamshedji Jeejabhoy and is also known as Mahatma Gandhi Udyan. This is a popular relaxation place amongst visitors.

Empress Garden: This botanical garden in located in the heart of the Pune Cantonment and is very close to the Pune Race Course. It has got pretty lawns and is a hot picnic spot too.

Snake Park: Located on the outskirts it is one of the reputed zoos in India having around 400 snakes of 40-45 different varieties. We find various other animals here too like the leopard, deer and other reptiles.

Pashan Lake: This Lake attracts many migratory birds and is ideal for someone who loves nature and birds. This is an important tourist spot of Pune. The best time to visit the place is from September to June.

National Defense Academy:  It is a premier Inter Service training institution where future officers of the Armed Forces are trained. Located about 15kms away from Pune, it is the only academy in the world where all three forces are trained together. This area has a exotic view.

Pataleshwat Temple: This temple is in the heart of the city and here is entire temple is cut of rock and was probably built in the 8th century.
